LANSING, Mich.– Govternor Gretchen whitmer joined a group of Business, state, and local officials today To celebrate the expansion of EOI Pioneer operations in the village of Dundee, thanking him automotive electronics manufacturinguh to invest in Michigan, creating new jobs for the Michiganders and highlighting Michigan’s manufacturing industry.

The project is expected to generate a total capital investment of $ 14 million and create up to 195 new works with support from the Michigan Strategic Fund. Michigan was chosen for the project over competing sites in Ohio, Ontario and Tennessee.

Governor Whitmer made his remarks today during a groundbreaking ceremony and a tour of the company’s manufacturing plant in Dundee. The project received a Michigan Strategic Fund’s $ 1 million performance-based grant from the Michigan Strategic Fund.

EOI Pioneer Inc. is a subsidiary of Excellence Optoelectronics, Inc., a Taiwanese manufacturer of LED light sources and electronic assemblies for the automotive industry.
