Guardian Automotive, an automotive glazing solutions provider, has rebranded itself as Glavista. The transition follows almost a year of planning and means the company, now independent of Guardian, is moving forward with a new identity.

The company changes its name as the industry evolves.

Glavista’s new name was revealed on September 23 during a special hybrid event at the Automotive Intelligence Center (AIC), a European value creation center for the automotive industry. Online participants from Europe joined the physical participants. In addition to a speech by Glavista CEO Óscar Tejedor, former Formula 1 racing professional Mark Webber spoke about the importance of change.

The name change follows a series of strategic developments for the company. Guardian Automotive is an independent company that has focused solely on automotive glazing solutions since 2020. A new investor and equipment funding at the company’s Center of Excellence in Llodio, Spain has enabled the manufacture of laminated glass and soaked. Glavista can now fulfill a wider range of orders for customers in the original equipment and aftermarket market, according to the company.

Glavista focuses on the future challenges of the industry.

The unveiling of the new brand marks the next step for the company in its journey. Its R&D teams continue to monitor the latest industry trends and technologies. Tejedor notes that “by constantly pushing the bar in this way, Guardian Automotive has established itself as a key player in the automotive revolution. Now, as Glavista, we look forward to continuing this journey full of interesting goals and challenges. “
