This is another east coast expansion for Kyte, as Jersey City represents the 12th service city. Kyte also recently began operating in Brooklyn.

Kyte, a car rental service that delivers vehicles to drivers, recently launched in Jersey City. Customers can have a car delivered on demand for a day, a week or more in Jersey City and surrounding areas including Hoboken, Greenville, West Side, Journal Square, Union City and Gutenberg.

Through the Kyte app or website, users can get started by choosing a specific time and location for the delivery and return of their vehicle, according to the company. Once the reservation is made, Kyte sends a delivery driver (known as “Kyte Surfer”) to deliver a clean and sanitized car at the requested time. When the vehicle is ready for return, a Kyte Surfer picks up the customer’s vehicle at the requested time and location.

“In addition to the success of our launches in Brooklyn and Manhattan, we can’t wait to cross the Hudson and begin bringing Kyte to New Jersey residents,” said Spencer Smith, Head of Launches at Kyte.

Currently, Kyte is offering a $20 rebate to new Jersey City customers.

Founded in 2019 by Francesco Wiedemann, Kyte also operates in Boston, Brooklyn, Chicago, Los Angeles, Long Beach, Miami, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.
