Opening of Cherry General Store on Melrose Avenue

Los Angeles-based clothing brand Cherry has announced the opening of its first retail space on Melrose Avenue. With a brand identity rooted in nostalgic American influences, referencing old Chevy pickups, westerns, baseball apparel and bulldog military prints, Cherry captures the raw feel of the 60s with a clean store design inspired by the outside.

Situated somewhere between a rodeo bar and an old-fashioned auto shop, visitors are welcomed to a makeshift campsite with period equipment, handcrafted Douglas fir seats, a suspended installation of a canoe and a dressing room lined with a pine log. pile and Navajo carpet. From the hand-painted window signs and selection of plants to the finished woodwork, the store has been meticulously curated to embody the warm rustic aesthetic the brand has established so far.

Currently on the shelves is the new Cherry Carousel Collectionaccessories, a range of vintage items and special LA exclusives.

The Cherry Los Angeles store officially opened on June 25 and is now open to the public.
